As a Robotics Hardware Intern at Lionsbot, you will play a critical role in co-designing and delivering high-quality solutions for our next-generation of cleaning robots. You will work on substantial hands-on projects from concept to prototyping, testing, technical documentation and production.
Key Responsibilities
- Be an integral part of the product design & development team to develop new robot subsystems and support ongoing product improvements.
- Assist in design and validation for fast turn-around proof of concepts of various autonomous cleaning robots.
- Liaise with the Production and Procurement team for NPI (New Product Introduction) and ECN (Engineering Change Notice).
- Evaluate performance of subsystems throughout the development cycle all the way to product launch.
- Assist to handle small volume pre-production robots for beta testing.
- Provide onsite assistance to the Robot Support Team during deployments/trials.
- Provide technical documentation of mechanical and/or electrical wiring subsystems.
Skills, Qualifications And Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Bachelor's/Diploma courses in engineering. Specialization in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Electrical or other relevant disciplines.
- Proficient in CAD using any modelling software such as Solidworks, Fusion 360, Free CAD, etc
- Basic PCB design using Eagle will be a plus.
- Comfortable with microcontroller programming for testing POCs.
- Experience with fabrication techniques such as 3D Printing, laser cutting and CNC
- Experience with crimping and soldering is preferred.
- Interested in development of mechanical design solutions.
- Added advantage if worked in a technical student team, or a robotics project outside of the curriculum requirements.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to work in a fast paced and highly collaborative team.
- Good technical and analytical skills to solve complex problems in the simplest possible way.
- Proactive learner who is determined and steadfast and can work with minimum guidance
