Job Title: Roaming Desktop Support Engineer (Contract, Roaming needed, up to $3500)
Client's Project Locations: Marina Bay, Changi Airport, Chua Chu Kang, Alexandra Rd, Bukit Merah
Working hours: 8.30am - 5.30pm or 9am to 6pm, Mon to Fri. Half-day on Saturday with claimable OT.
Job Summary
We are seeking a customer-oriented Desktop Engineer who is open to roam islandwide to provide onsite IT support services. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing end-user computing devices, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, supporting IT infrastructure, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
End-User Support
- Provide onsite and remote technical support to end users.
- Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, printer, and peripheral issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and business applications.
- Support Microsoft Office 365 applications and services.
- Handle user account administration, password resets, and access-related requests.
- Assist users with email, network connectivity, and VPN issues.
Hardware& Asset Management
- Perform deployment, replacement, and decommissioning of IT equipment.
- Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate records.
- Coordinate warranty claims and vendor support activities.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks on IT equipment.
Incident& Service Request Management
- Manage incidents and service requests through the ticketing system.
- Ensure tickets are updated and resolved within agreed SLA timelines.
- Escalate complex issues to relevant support teams when necessary.
- Prepare incident reports and technical documentation when required.
Infrastructure Support
- Support LAN/WAN connectivity troubleshooting.
- Assist with network device installation and basic troubleshooting.
- Support printers, scanners, meeting room equipment, and AV systems.
- Participate in IT projects, migrations, and system upgrades.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Ensure endpoint security solutions are installed and operational.
- Perform basic security checks and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives such as patch management and endpoint monitoring.
- Comply with company security policies and customer requirements.
Job Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 administration.
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Azure AD.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and DNS.
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and deployment.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Jira, Fresh service, or ManageEngine.
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLANs).
- Experience supporting printers and multifunction devices.
- Familiarity with endpoint protection solutions.
- Basic understanding of vulnerability management and security best practices.
