About our group:

Recording Media Operation (RMO) Sputter Equipment Engineering team is responsible to innovate engineering solutions in mechanical, electrical, software & controls, and advanced analytic system, and provide technical support to improve/enhance ultra-high vacuum (UHV) sputter machines with upgrades, OEE, unscheduled/scheduled downtime, operations, process capabilities, indirect material (IDM)/hardware/consumables cost reduction, productivity, new product conversion requirements, media performance and defects reduction.

About the role - you will:

  • Responsible and specialize in big data cleanup, algorithm design, development, validation, and deployment of advanced analytic models and system through Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics and Data/Feature Engineering.
  • Capable to develop solutions on anomaly detection monitoring with sophisticated visualization system and dashboard, and alerts to establish proper controls to sustain product quality and process performance.
  • Strong ability to coordinate and collaborate with cross functional teams to integrate models into high performance edge/IT computing systems

About you:

  • Innovative and enthusiasm in machine learning models and big data analysis.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python and database management.
  • Strong team player, self-motivated, collaborative, and proactive approach.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present data in group meetings
  • Able to commit full time semester internship (May/Aug to Dec)

Your experience includes:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Data Science/Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Python programming, SQL Database, and Tableau.
  • Some knowledge and experience in Web development is an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge in MS Access, Excel, Power Point, Words.

Location:

Our Woodlands site is one of the largest electronics manufacturing sites in Singapore, housing our recording media operations. Spread over three sites, it is easily accessible via bus or from the MRT Station, with many employees taking mass transportation to work.
