Duties & Responsibilities
- Set up and test RMA devices according to engineers instructions.
- Support remote access requests (test setup, device changes, testing, and result collection) via phone, email, and online systems.
- Handle ad-hoc or special requests such as instrument upgrades and evaluations.
- Perform test hardware orders, buy-offs (new equipment), debugging, and repairs.
- Assemble new instruments on benches.
- Coordinate and execute equipment relocation (incoming and outgoing).
- Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance (PM), calibration, and repair of test floor equipment, including ATE, peripherals, and bench instruments.
- Support RMA engineering bench setup, upgrades, verification, modification, and management.
- Manage day-to-day RMA bench utilization according to priorities.
- Track and control RMA parts used in testing.
- Track and manage hardware inventory, instrument calibration, and preventive maintenance.
- Maintain RMA benches and lab equipment/instruments in good working condition.
- Compile engineering and operational reports, including RMA testing results.
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills clear organization and articulation ability to seek win/win resolutions.
- Automotive Systems Knowledge: Understanding of key components and interactions of automotive subsystems familiarity with automotive applications.
- Electronic Test Equipment: Proficient with instruments such as Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, VNA, Oscilloscope, etc.
- Hands-On Lab Skills: Strong lab management skills ability to maintain equipment/instruments in good working condition (PM, calibration, and upgrades).
- Teamwork & Soft Skills: Proactive, initiative-taking, teachable, and able to work effectively in a team environment.
