Assist Chief Risk Officer (CRO) in the implementation of the overall Group/Company Risk Management Framework (policies, procedures and methodologies), propose changes where appropriate, prepare, issue and embed management directive, and act as secretariat to the risk meetings.
Based on risk management principles, assess, quantify, monitor and mitigate risks in the portfolio and new transactions.
Manage company portfolio risk, including timely preparation of risk reports, and regular portfolio analytics, highlighting areas of concern that may arise.
Key contact for liaising within inter-departments and the credit team of external parties on the negotiation of credit related contractual clauses
Collaborate with other teams, including trading, operations, legal, compliance, and finance, to incorporate functional considerations in the assessment of risk.
Engage with external industry bodies and business representatives to keep abreast of changes in the industry.
Is well-versed (Shows awareness) in all risk management aspects, including market, credit and operational risk.
Engage with the trading teams and other team members to understand prevailing trading strategies and provide risk analytics to support decision making.
Act as risk management liaison for the Company with the ETRM support team to maintain risk controls within the system.
Provide risk management training to other work areas of the Company, where necessary.
Collaborate with other work areas of the Company to enable the Company's business strategy.
Job Requirements
Degree or Masters in Finance/Accountancy/Quantitative Mathematics or related.
For experienced Risk professionals: At least 8 years of relevant experience in risk management or related fields.
Early-career candidates with interest in Risk: Fresh graduates with strong interest in risk management, preferably with at least 2 years of related experience (e.g. academic project, internships etc)
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
