Role Overview
The Business Environment Risks & Compliance Manager is responsible for assessing, developing, and implementing risk management and compliance programs to ensure adherence to local and applicable international laws and regulations, organization's policies, and internal guidelines. The role plays a key part in strengthening corporate governance, ethics awareness, and a strong compliance culture across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Policy & Strategy Development
- Develop, review, and implement enterprise risk management frameworks and compliance policies in line with regulatory and group requirements.
Risk Assessment & Monitoring
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging and existing risks.
- Monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and recommend mitigation measures to address identified risks.
Audits & Reviews
- Perform internal audits and compliance reviews to ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards.
Training & Ethics Culture
- Design and deliver compliance and ethics training programs.
- Promote a company-wide culture of integrity, ethical conduct, and risk awareness.
Regulatory Liaison
- Liaise with relevant regulatory authorities and external agencies.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and ensure timely and accurate regulatory reporting.
Incident & Breach Management
- Investigate compliance breaches and risk incidents.
- Manage corrective actions, follow-up activities, and closure of identified issues.
Reporting
- Prepare and present risk assessment and compliance reports to senior management, including findings, trends, and mitigation strategies.
Technology & Systems
- Work closely with the IT Security Manager to manage risk and compliance systems, ensuring effective monitoring, tracking, and reporting.

Job Requirements:
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Risk Management, Law, Accounting, Business).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in business environment risk management and compliance.
- High level of integrity, self-motivation, and strong sense of accountability and urgency.
- Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and problem-solving capabilities.
