Role Summary
The RFP Writer reports to the Head of Client Partnership. The individual will be part of the Client Partnership team under the Business Development group and based in Singapore.
The RFP Writer is responsible for managing the end-to-end drafting and delivery of RFP, RFI, product questionnaires across institutional and intermediary client segments. He/She partners closely with internal stakeholders, including Client Solutions and Investment teams, to ensure proposals are compelling, accurate and aligned with proposal strategy defined by the firm, while driving best practices, standardisation and continuous improvement in the proposal process. Key responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing the central content library to ensure information is up to date and consistent and driving and implementing process improvements and technology solutions to streamline RFP, RFI, product questionnaires production.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. RFP / RFI / Product Questionnaire Delivery
- Manage the end-to-end drafting and delivery of complex, highvalue and timesensitive RFP, RFI, product questionnaires across institutional and intermediary client segments, ensuring they are compelling, coherent and accurate, turning them into differentiating winning propositions
- Coordinate information gathering from relevant internal stakeholders across various functions to ensure responses are accurate and complete.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on proposal best practices and market expectations
2. Proposal Content Development
- Draft and edit proposal responses to a high professional standard, ensuring:
- Strong, client-centric narratives and differentiation
- Consistency with firm positioning, capabilities and disclosures
- Clear articulation of investment philosophy, process and risk management
- Tailor and adapt standard content to meet specific institutional and intermediary client needs, under guidance from senior team members.
- Review and synthesize the contributions from multiple stakeholders to tell a compelling and coherent story
3. Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner closely with internal teams to set proposal strategy, response structure and key messaging
- Proactively manage stakeholder's contributions to the proposals and escalate risks as required
4. Governance, Risk & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all proposals comply with RFP, RFI, product questionnaires instructions, regulatory standards and internal governance requirements
- Identify inconsistencies, gaps or risks and resolve them prior to submission
- Ensure final responses receive appropriate reviews and approvals
5. Process Improvement & Knowledge Management
- Own and continuously enhance:
- RFP, RFI, product questionnaires content libraries
- Standard responses and templates
- Proposal workflows and controls
- Support initiatives to improve efficiency, reduce turnaround time and minimise rework in the proposal process.
6. Undertake additional responsibilities and projects as required and assigned by Head of Client Partnership
Education / Qualification
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience and Skills
- 6 - 8 years experience in RFPs, proposals or client communications within the asset management industry.
- Demonstrated track record in managing complex RFP, RFI, product questionnaires end-to-end.
- Strong understanding of investment products, performance reporting and fund management processes.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear and persuasive narratives.
- Advanced stakeholder management capabilities and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively and manage multiple concurrent deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with RFP/content management systems preferred.
