About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Revenue Accountant to join our Finance team. This role will be pivotal in ensuring accurate revenue recognition, supporting group audits, and contributing to IPO readiness. The ideal candidate will bring a strong technical foundation from a Big 4 accounting firm, coupled with hands-on experience in financial reporting under IFRS and familiarity with cryptocurrency/fintech transactions and regulations. Prior exposure to IPO processes or listed-company environments will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Revenue Recognition & Reporting
- Manage and review end-to-end revenue recognition in compliance with IFRS 15.
- Prepare monthly revenue reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain robust revenue schedules, deferred revenue analysis, and related controls.
- Support the development and maintenance of revenue accounting policies and procedures.
- Audit & IPO Readiness
- Liaise with external auditors, prepare audit schedules, and address queries promptly.
- Support IPO readiness workstreams including drafting technical memos, revenue disclosures, and prospectus documentation.
- Assist in preparing statutory financial statements and group consolidation reporting.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Legal, and Operations teams to review customer contracts and assess accounting implications.
- Provide accounting guidance on new products, service offerings, and commercial arrangements.
- Support process/system improvements to strengthen revenue reporting and internal controls.
- Ad-hoc Projects
- Participate in finance system upgrades and automation initiatives.
- Contribute to special projects such as financial modelling, or business initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Chartered Accountant (CA/CPA/ACCA) qualification strongly preferred.
- 36 years of experience in audit and/or accounting, ideally with at least 23 years in a Big 4 firm.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS (especially IFRS 15).
- IPO experience (audit, advisory, or in-house) highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with proven ability to manage large data sets.
- Exceptional attention to detail, can-do attitude, and problem-solving mindset.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in English; Mandarin a plus for cross-border collaboration.
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Xero, QuickBooks, or NetSuite preferred.
- Exposure to crypto, blockchain, or fintech industry is highly regarded.
