Revenue Accountant
Contract Duration: 1 year, with possibility of extension
Working Hours: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with onsite work required during training
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Revenue Accountant to support revenue accounting operations and the transition to a new accounting system. This role will work closely with the Senior Accountant and wider Revenue Operations team to support system testing, data validation, billing reconciliation, and the transition from the existing system to the new platform.
The successful candidate should have strong revenue accounting experience, excellent analytical skills, and a meticulous approach to reviewing financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the transition from the existing accounting system to the new system.
- Assist with testing and validating the new accounting system prior to go-live.
- Review orders and financial information from the new system and cross-reference against billing records.
- Support revenue accounting activities and ensure transactions are accurately recorded and treated.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with revenue accounting and related reporting activities.
- Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and perform necessary reconciliations.
- Apply accounting principles and revenue recognition requirements to day-to-day transactions.
- Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting and system-related issues.
- Maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Revenue Accounting.
- In-depth knowledge of full-cycle accounting processes, issues, and treatment.
- Strong analytical and process-oriented skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP.
- Experience in public accounting or technical revenue recognition is an advantage.
- Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a positive, collaborative attitude.
- CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience in the IT or data centre industry is preferred.
