What you'll do:

As a Revenue Accountant, you will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth execution of order to cash processes for a digital marketplace platform. Your day-to-day activities will involve collaborating with managed service providers to monitor performance metrics, investigating discrepancies that arise during reconciliations, and preparing insightful financial reports for leadership review. You will work hand-in-hand with corporate accounting colleagues to adapt processes in response to evolving business needs while maintaining strict statutory compliance through regular engagement with tax specialists. Your responsibilities extend beyond traditional accounting tasks you will also provide essential business support by safeguarding data integrity across multiple systems, validating platform charges, and facilitating timely collections. By partnering with various teams, including supply chain operations and technology, you will help resolve operational challenges, contribute to system testing efforts, and champion process improvements that enhance overall control. This role offers you the chance to identify automation opportunities that streamline workflows in high-volume environments while building meaningful connections across the organisation.

  • Oversee the end-to-end order to cash accounting process for the digital marketplace platform within a managed service provider shared delivery model, ensuring accuracy and timeliness throughout.
  • Measure service delivery performance against key metrics such as sales reconciliations and net settlement with platform partners, investigating variances and supporting month-end close revenue accruals.
  • Coach managed service providers to address process escalations or performance gaps, regularly reviewing procedures for continuous improvement and compliance.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reporting pack analytics during month-end close, synthesising complex data into actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with regional Corporate Accounting teams to align on the impact of digital marketplace changes on accounting practices.
  • Work alongside Country Controller and Tax teams to ensure statutory and tax compliance across all relevant jurisdictions.
  • Provide ongoing business support by facilitating seamless platform operations, including timely collections, data integrity checks across multiple systems, and validation of platform charges.
  • Engage cross-functionally with Business, Supply Chain, and Technology teams to resolve operational issues, support system testing initiatives, and propose enhancements to strengthen control rigor.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within the order to cash cycle to minimise errors and increase efficiency when handling high-volume data environments.

What you bring:

In this Revenue Accountant position, your background in accountancy, supported by CA/CPA credentials or equivalent qualifications, will be crucial as you navigate complex revenue recognition scenarios within a digital marketplace context. Your proven experience managing accounts receivable functions and overseeing financial close activities will allow you to maintain rigorous standards of accuracy even when handling large volumes of transactional data. You will bring strong analytical thinking skills that empower you to distil complex information into meaningful insights for both finance professionals and non-finance stakeholders alike. Your familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems will help you adapt quickly within a multi-system environment where automation plays an increasing role.Your willingness to coach others towards best practice standards demonstrates your commitment not only to operational excellence but also to nurturing collective success within the team.

  • CA/CPA qualification or degree holder in Accountancy with 5-7 years of hands-on experience in revenue accounting, accounts receivable management, financial close processes or audit within complex organisations.
  • Proven ability to work dependably both independently and as part of collaborative teams while prioritising effectively in multifaceted operational ecosystems.
  • Extensive experience managing digital marketplace accounting processes including reconciliations in high-volume data environments where accuracy is paramount.
  • Exceptional analytical skills paired with clear communication abilities that enable you to translate intricate data sets into actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with SAP is preferred additional exposure to automation tools or multi-system environments would be highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated commitment to statutory compliance through effective partnership with tax teams and adherence to regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Experience coaching or guiding third-party service providers towards continuous improvement in service delivery standards is desirable.
  • A track record of identifying process improvement opportunities, particularly those involving automation, to enhance efficiency within order to cash cycles.
