Job Summary
Join our retail team as a Retail Shop Assistant at Holland Village or Changi Jewel, delivering excellent customer service and supporting daily store operations to create a pleasant shopping experience for families and children.
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist customers warmly to create a welcoming shopping environment
- Identify customer needs and recommend suitable baby and kids products
- Process cashiering duties, handle payments, and complete daily sales transactions accurately
- Maintain clean, neat, and attractive store displays to enhance product visibility
- Replenish stock and ensure shelves are consistently well-stocked
- Assist with receiving stock deliveries, conducting inventory checks, and performing stocktakes
- Support store promotions, campaigns, and seasonal activities to drive sales
- Update product pricing, labels, and displays to ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with team members to meet sales and service targets
- Perform other daily shop operation tasks as needed
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Prior retail or customer service experience
- Friendly, patient, cheerful, and proactive attitude in customer interactions
- Enjoys engaging with families, parents, and children
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Responsible, punctual, and eager to learn
- Availability to work retail hours including weekends and public holidays
- Fresh graduates, students, interns, and candidates without experience are encouraged to apply
