Job Summary
Sales specialists are responsible for achieving sales objectives and handling all sales activities to meet company targets and goals. They work under supervision and contribute to delivering excellent customer service and supporting retail operations.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and identify their needs to provide tailored product recommendations
- Build customer confidence by offering informed suggestions and opinions to help them make purchase decisions
- Resolve customer inquiries promptly to ensure high customer satisfaction
- Perform monthly stock inventory checks and replenish merchandise to maintain stock availability
- Arrange and display merchandise to create an appealing and organized sales floor
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise areas to enhance the shopping environment
- Operate cashier functions accurately to process sales transactions
- Receive stock deliveries and verify items against purchase orders
- Handle documentation related to purchase orders, purchase returns, and merchandise transfers
- Support the retail outlet in achieving monthly sales targets, including extended warranty and membership sign-ups
- Deliver outstanding customer service consistently during all working shifts
- Participate in on-the-job and external training sessions to improve product knowledge and selling skills
Work Schedule:
- Work shifts from Monday to Sunday, including public holidays:
Morning: 9.30am to 5.30pm (1-hour lunch break)
Afternoon: 2pm to 10pm (1-hour dinner break)
Full Shift: 9.30am to 10pm (1.5-hour meal break)
Training and Development:
- Receive on-the-job training during probation with supervisors and officers to learn essential skills and processes
- Attend external training by manufacturers and suppliers for hands-on product knowledge and virtual sessions
- Participate in training at Best Denki HQ for company processes and job expectations, including new staff orientation, selling skills, extended warranty, and membership app sign-up
Section Assignments:
- Sales specialists are assigned to specific sections such as TV, IT, Home Appliances, or Kitchen Appliances, managing related products within those categories
- Earn sales commissions on most items sold across all sections and on sales of extended warranty for applicable products
