Role Purpose
The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for leading and driving operational excellence across a network of retail stores in Singapore. This role ensures the effective execution of business strategies, achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs), and alignment of store operations with business objectives. The incumbent will play a critical role in translating strategic initiatives into actionable plans while maintaining consistent operational standards across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends and forecast performance to drive competitive strategies and continuous business improvement.
- Oversee execution of store policies, procedures, and promotions to ensure consistency, compliance, and operational excellence.
- Lead and manage a team of Area Managers to deliver sales targets, KPIs, and operational plans within budget across assigned store networks.
- Provide strong leadership, coaching, and development to enhance team capability, engagement, and performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., merchandising, marketing, finance, HR, support functions) to ensure seamless implementation of business initiatives.
- Monitor store execution through regular reviews and site visits, ensuring strategies are effectively implemented and identify improvement opportunities.
- Support strategic initiatives including store openings, refurbishments, and merchandising optimization to enhance customer experience and sales productivity.
- Communicate key priorities, performance metrics, and business updates clearly across all levels of the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related discipline.
- Over 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years of experience in retail sales and operations, preferably within a multi-site environment.
- Strong business acumen, analytical capability, and a proactive, results-driven mindset.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders of all levels.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with retail industry practices, including regulatory considerations, will be preferred.
