Position Overview
We are seeking a highly capable Retail Operations Manager to oversee and drive the performance of multiple retail outlets. This role is responsible for managing end-to-end retail operations, optimizing store performance, ensuring operational efficiency, and implementing strategies to enhance revenue and customer experience. The candidate will play a key role in standardizing processes, improving productivity, and supporting the company's expansion and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations across multiple retail outlets, ensuring consistent execution of company standards and operational procedures
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve sales performance, cost efficiency, and overall profitability
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales revenue, inventory turnover, shrinkage, and store productivity
- Oversee inventory management, including stock planning, replenishment, and minimizing wastage or stock discrepancies
- Ensure optimal staffing levels, staff performance, and workforce planning across outlets
- Establish and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency in store operations and customer service
- Identify operational gaps and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and service quality
- Coordinate with procurement, merchandising, and logistics teams to ensure smooth product flow and availability
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including hygiene, safety, and licensing standards
- Handle escalated operational issues, customer complaints, and risk management matters
- Support new store openings, including setup, staffing, and operational readiness
- Prepare and present operational reports, performance analysis, and strategic recommendations to management
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Retail Management, or related field
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in retail operations, preferably in multi-outlet environments
- Strong experience in managing store operations, inventory control, and staff supervision
- Proven track record in improving operational performance and achieving sales targets
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Skills
Experience in retail chains dealing with daily-use or essential products
Knowledge of retail systems, POS operations, and inventory management tools
Strong commercial awareness and business acumen
Experience in expansion or multi-store operations management
