Our Scout Shop at SSA HQ is the heart of our community gear-supplying uniforms, camping kit, and adventure badges to youths, leaders, and schools islandwide!
As the face of our Scout Shop, you will bring energy and warmth to our community while keeping retail operations running smoothly:
Frontline Customer Engagement: Welcome Scouts, adult leaders, parents, and teachers with enthusiasm. Guide them on uniforms, outdoor equipment, and Scout gear while handling counter transactions smoothly.
Order Fulfillment & Coordination: Manage, process, and coordinate unit and school orders via email and WhatsApp for seamless pickup or delivery.
Inventory & Merchandise Management: Unpack fresh stock, organize eye-catching shelf displays, perform routine inventory checks, and report low stock or discrepancies to supervisors.
Store Operations & Vibe: Keep the Scout Shop clean, bright, presentable, and well-stocked.
Community & Event Support: Lend a hand with event logistics, share ideas to improve shop operations, and support headquarters initiatives when needed.
We are looking for a dynamic, high-energy individual who loves interacting with people and working in a vibrant youth movement environment!
Education & Background: Nitec, Higher Nitec, Diploma holders, or candidates with prior experience in retail, customer service, or stock management. (Higher experience/qualifications will be considered for the Executive tier).
Communication Skills: Warm, proactive, patient, and articulate. Ability to communicate effectively in English proficiency in Mandarin/Chinese is an advantage to liaise effectively with teacher-in-charge representatives and Scout units from Chinese-medium schools.
Work Ethic & Tech Savvy: Energetic self-starter who works well independently and within a close-knit team. Comfortable using basic office tech, email, and messaging platforms (e.g., WhatsApp) to coordinate orders.

Tiered Opportunities: Role level (Assistant vs. Executive) will be calibrated based on your background and experience.
Employment Flexibility: Full time, but Contract or part-time arrangements can be discussed.
