About the Role
We are seeking results-oriented Retail Associates to join our client's team at Changi Airport. In this role, you will be the face of the brands, engaging with international travelers to drive sales and deliver an exceptional shopping experience. This is a hunter role designed for proactive professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenge of meeting and exceeding individual sales quotas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive Sales Performance: Proactively engage with travelers to understand their needs, provide expert product recommendations, and drive conversion to achieve individual sales targets.
- Deliver Service Excellence: Provide a first-class shopping experience by explaining ongoing promotions, sharing product knowledge, and upholding the highest standards of customer service.
- Operational Maintenance: Ensure the retail floor is well-presented at all times, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines and supporting day-to-day operations as directed by supervisors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Manage sales and transactions in accordance with airport security protocols and duty-free regulations.
Requirements
Minimum/Core Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years) in high-volume retail environments (e.g., travel retail, busy shopping malls, or luxury boutiques).
- Proven track record of achieving individual sales KPIs and quotas in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficiency in spoken English is required to effectively communicate promotions and provide high-quality service to a diverse international traveler base.
- Full flexibility to work a rotating 5-day work week roster, including shifts starting as early as 6:00 AM or ending as late as 1:00 AM.
- Physical stamina to stand for the duration of a 9.5-hour shift (8+ hours excluding breaks) in a high-traffic environment.
Preferred/Bonus Requirements:
- Prior retail experience within Changi Airport or a travel retail environment.
- Experience in categories such as Alcohol, Tobacco, Beauty, or high-end electronics.
- Ability to start on short notice (immediate or within 2 weeks).
