About Us
Sifr Aromatics is an independent niche perfume atelier rooted in the fragrance heritage of Kampong Gelam. Founded in 2010, we blend traditional South East Asian perfumery with modern aromatic science to create deeply personal scent experiences. Our founder and perfumer, Johari Kazura worked with the National Heritage Board to have minyak attar recognised as part of Singapore's Intangible Cultural Heritage.
The Role
We're looking for passionate, people-oriented individuals to join our team at two levels. Whether you're starting out in retail or ready to take on a more senior role, we value curiosity, warmth, and a genuine love for fragrance above all else.
This is a part time position, transition to full time staff will be discussed further down the line.
Retail Associate
Responsibilities
- Welcome and guide customers through our collections and fragrance experiences
- Provide expert product advice and handle customer inquiries in-person and over the phone
- Meet individual and team sales targets through thoughtful, natural recommendations
- Manage payment transactions and ensure accurate cash and card reconciliations
- Keep our atelier looking beautiful, well-stocked, and aligned with brand standards
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with receiving and restocking merchandise
- Participate in internal and external training sessions and team meetings
- Comply with company policies on safety, grooming, uniform, and professional conduct
Requirements
- Prior retail experience preferred but not essential
- Genuine interest in fragrance, for both body as well as home and lifestyle
- Independent and willing to self lead
- Great at working with small teams
- Keen to take a hands-on approach to tasks and duties
- Warm, people-oriented personality with good communication skills
- Flexible availability including weekends and public holidays
- 21 hours a week
- Basic POS and computer literacy
