Retail Assistant Manager, Butcher

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Butcher to join our retail operations. This role involves hands-on butchery work, customer service, and supporting daily store operations to ensure high standards of quality, hygiene, and service.

Key Responsibilities:

Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat products (beef, lamb, pork, poultry)

Maintain product quality, freshness, and display standards

Attend to customer inquiries and provide product recommendations

Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

Assist with stock receiving, storage, and inventory control

Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment

Support store operations and assist in supervising junior staff

Requirements:

Minimum 2-3 years of relevant butchery experience (retail preferred)

Good knowledge of meat cuts and handling techniques

Customer-oriented with good communication skills

Physically fit and able to work in a chilled environment

Willing to work weekends and public holidays
