Job Title: Retail Assistant Manager, Butcher
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager, Butcher to join our retail operations. This role involves hands-on butchery work, customer service, and supporting daily store operations to ensure high standards of quality, hygiene, and service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cut, trim, debone, and portion meat products (beef, lamb, pork, poultry)
- Maintain product quality, freshness, and display standards
- Attend to customer inquiries and provide product recommendations
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with stock receiving, storage, and inventory control
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and equipment
- Support store operations and assist in supervising junior staff
Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant butchery experience (retail preferred)
- Good knowledge of meat cuts and handling techniques
- Customer-oriented with good communication skills
- Physically fit and able to work in a chilled environment
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays
Working Hours:
Retail hours on a rotational shift basis
Salary:
$3700-$4000
