Retail Assistant

Job Summary

You will assist in daily operations at a fruit and vegetable retail store, supporting the team to ensure smooth store functioning and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations by coordinating tasks to maintain efficient workflow and deliver quality customer service
• Assist team members in stocking and organizing fruit and vegetable displays to ensure product availability and visual appeal
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the store environment to provide a safe shopping space
• Provide friendly and attentive service to customers to enhance their shopping experience and address their needs
• Operate cashiering and POS systems accurately to process customer transactions efficiently
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor to support overall store operations

Required competencies and certifications

• Demonstrate a positive attitude and deliver good customer service skills to engage customers effectively
• Be physically fit to carry light to moderate loads for stocking and store maintenance tasks
• Be available to work on weekends and public holidays to meet store scheduling needs
• Possess at least 3 years of experience in the same trade to perform duties competently
