Job Description

As Restaurant Supervisor, you will be a key leader on the floor of this prestigious Michelin-star omakase destination. You will uphold the highest standards of hospitality and operational excellence while guiding service delivery that reflects the restaurant's refined Japanese ethos, exceptional attention to detail, and intimate guest experience. You will support the Restaurant Assistant Manager and work closely with the chef and service team to ensure seamless service in an environment where precision, grace, and knowledge are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate front-of-house operations during service, ensuring the team delivers elevated, personalized hospitality
  • Greet and engage with guests in an informed, respectful manner befitting a Michelin-starred omakase setting
  • Anticipate guest needs and expectations, delivering thoughtful and intuitive service throughout the meal
  • Handle guest enquiries and feedback with professionalism and poise
  • Supervise the seating flow and garnish interactions to maintain the restaurant's hushed and attentive environment
  • Assist in planning and coordinating service for lunch and dinner seatings, ensuring timing, pacing, and coordination with kitchen team
  • Maintain impeccable presentation standards for serviceware, table settings, and service stations
  • Support development initiatives aimed at strengthening the team's product knowledge and service finesse
  • Assist in suggesting beverage pairings that complement omakase progressions without compromising experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 1year experience in high-end or fine-dining restaurants; prior Japanese omakase or sushi service experience is a plus
  • Deep understanding of Michelin-level service expectations and fine dining etiquette
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to guide and inspire a small, detail-oriented team
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, confident approach in guest and team interactions
  • Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sake, wine and beverage pairings
  • Passion for Japanese culture and culinary craftsmanship
  • Exceptional situational awareness and proactive problem-solving ability
  • Professional presentation and a genuine service mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a quiet, refined, and highly attentive service environment
