Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily operations, drive service excellence, and ensure operational efficiency across the restaurant. This role is responsible for managing front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, staffing, inventory, compliance, guest experience, and profitability while maintaining brand and service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, safety, and customer experience
- Monitor operational workflows and implement improvements where needed
- Ensure opening, closing, and shift procedures are consistently followed
Team Leadership
- Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise restaurant staff
- Lead and motivate teams to achieve service and performance goals
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and development
- Foster a positive, professional, and collaborative work culture
Customer Experience
- Handle guest feedback, complaints, and service recovery professionally
- Ensure excellent hospitality and customer satisfaction at all times
- Build relationships with regular customers and support guest retention initiatives
Financial & Inventory Management
- Manage labor costs, food costs, and operating expenses
- Analyze sales reports and operational KPIs to improve profitability
- Oversee inventory ordering, stock control, and vendor coordination
- Minimize waste and implement cost-control measures
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, licensing, and workplace safety regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and operational records
- Ensure all staff adhere to food handling and sanitation standards
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
- 3-5+ years of restaurant management or operations experience
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in POS systems, scheduling software, and inventory tools
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
