The Restaurant Manager is responsible for overseeing daily operations of the restaurant to ensure excellent customer service, efficient workflow, and profitability. This role involves managing staff, maintaining high food quality and safety standards, and ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily restaurant operations (front and back of house)
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service
  • Manage, train, and supervise staff, including scheduling shifts
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally
  • Track sales, expenses, and prepare financial reports
  • Implement marketing strategies and promotions to boost sales
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall restaurant standards
  • Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Manager or similar role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and restaurant operations
  • Basic financial management skills (budgeting, cost control)
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management (preferred but not always required)
