Resident Technical Officer (Rehabilitation of Water Pipes)

a) Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering

b) Registered Resident Technical Officer by IES

c) Min. 5 years experience in Water pipe Construction

1. To act as a Site Supervisor appointed by the client (PUB).

2. To assist the QP(Supervision) in carrying out supervision works on site

3. Verification of the Client's Permit To Works (CPTW) checklist completed by the Contractor

4. To conduct checks on relevant Docs - NCE permit, ROA etc.

5. To inspect and advise for compliance on temporary works, including instrumentation reports by Contractor.

6. To support in public relations works.

7. To supervise and keep independent records of day works including overall and part works programme.

8. To issue site memo to Contractor for recording of observed safety and quality non-compliance with Contract or Authorities, Services Agencies requirements.

10. To carry out site supervision and inspection of works including any off-site manufacturing/testing as instructed by the QP(Supervision) and/or S.O. so as to ensure that works are constructed to the required quality, accuracy and standards.

11. To monitor progress of the works on site including material supply to the site and at any off-site manufacturing/testing facilities and report delays immediately.

13. To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including independent record of test, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities etc.

14. To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the S.O./Client/QP(Supervision).

15. To check drawings including as-built and documents and report discrepancies.

16. Report on site safety, security and housekeeping.
