Supervise and inspect Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) works in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and statutory regulations.
Monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of Electrical Systems, ACMV (Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation), Plumbing and Sanitary Systems, Fire Protection Systems, and ELV systems.
Supervise electrical installations including power distribution systems, switchboards, transformers, cable containment systems, lighting, emergency lighting, and earthing systems.
Inspect ACMV works including chillers, cooling towers, AHUs, FCUs, ductworks, chilled water piping, ventilation systems, and control systems.
Monitor Plumbing and Sanitary (P&S) installations, including water supply systems, sanitary pipe works, drainage systems, pumps, and water storage tanks.
Supervise Fire Protection and Fire Alarm System installations, including sprinkler systems, hose reels, hydrants, fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, and emergency response systems.
Monitor ELV installations such as CCTV systems, Access Control Systems, Public Address Systems, Structured Cabling, MATV, Intercom, and Security Systems.
Supervise lift and escalator installations, testing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
Review M&E shop drawings, coordinated services drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and technical submissions prior to site implementation.
Verify materials delivered on site and ensure compliance with approved material submissions and project specifications.
Witness inspections, testing, and commissioning activities for all M&E systems and verify compliance with regulatory and project requirements.
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and relevant stakeholders to resolve technical and site coordination issues.
Conduct regular site inspections and identify defects, non-conformities, and deviations from approved drawings and specifications.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety requirements, permit-to-work systems, and relevant safety regulations.
Prepare and maintain site inspection records, surveillance reports, testing records, and progress reports.
Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) in monitoring project quality, workmanship, and compliance with approved standards.
Assist in verification of contractors progress claims, variation works, and completed M&E installation quantities.
Liaise with authorities, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and compliance with statutory requirements.
Requirements
Bachelor/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
Registered Resident Technical Officer (M&E RTO) with IES.
Minimum 5 years of relevant site supervision experience in M&E building services projects.
Experience in HDB, Commercial, Industrial, Healthcare, Data Centre, JTC, LTA, MRT, Mixed Development, or Institutional projects will be an advantage.
Good knowledge of Electrical, ACMV, Fire Protection, Plumbing & Sanitary, ELV, Security, Lift, and Building Services systems.
Familiar with Singapore Codes of Practice, BCA requirements, PUB regulations, SCDF Fire Code, EMA requirements, and other statutory regulations.
Able to interpret M&E drawings, coordinated services drawings, specifications, method statements, and technical submissions.
Experience in witnessing Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities and system handover procedures.
Strong coordination, communication, inspection, and reporting skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
