Resident Technical Officer # M&E #Jurong Island #Night Shift
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise major building construction works, including services laying and installation of lighting and control systems, to ensure project objectives are met
- Oversee installation, maintenance, and operation of airfield lighting systems, control rooms, server rooms, battery/genset rooms, M&E equipment, switch rooms, fire protection, and CCTV/security systems to maintain operational integrity
- Ensure all construction and installation activities comply with Singapore standards, regulations, and industry best practices to uphold quality and legal requirements
- Conduct regular inspections to verify quality control and adherence to project specifications, identifying and addressing deviations promptly
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project milestones and deliverables
- Monitor project progress including budget and schedule updates, and report findings to management for informed decision-making
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel involved in the projects
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO), including at least five (5) years supervising similar works
- Strong knowledge of Singapore building codes, regulations, and standards
- Proficiency in project management and construction supervision
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
