Job Description

  • Daily supervision: Responsible for the daily on-site supervision of construction works. To ensure that the construction is carried out according to the approved plans and specifications.
  • Compliance with standards: To verify that the materials, workmanship, and procedures comply with the Building Control Act, relevant codes of practice, and standards.
  • BCA regulations: To ensure that the construction complies with the BCA's regulatory framework, including the Building Control Regulations, Code of Practice, and other guidelines.
  • Environmental considerations: Responsible for ensuring that construction activities comply with environmental protection regulations, such as erosion control measures and noise pollution limits.
  • Monitor progress: To monitor the progress of construction to ensure it aligns with the project schedule while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Material checks: Ensure that all materials used in the project comply with specifications and quality standards. May have to review material testing reports and certifications.
  • Workmanship: Must check that the workmanship on-site is up to standard and that all work is completed to the quality required by the project specifications.
  • Any other duties: To carry out any other duties in addition to the above as assigned by the Employer, the Superintending Officer, all SO Representatives; and the Resident Engineer.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from Singapore Polytechnic or other tertiary institutions of equivalent standing.
  • National Certificate on Construction Supervision from BCA or equivalent.
  • Possess at least 5 years of site supervision in civil and structural works.
  • Registered as Resident Technical Officer accredited by IES/ACES.
  • Familiar with local codes and regulations.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Project for project updates and reporting.
  • Overall computer literacy.
  • Note: This is for an on-going project, and the offer terms will be 9-months which can be extended to 1 year.
  • Candidates who are able to commence immediately or within short notice will be preferred.
  • Candidates must possess relevant certifications and credentials, along with prior work experience, and be capable of working as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
  • Open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
