Resident Technical Officer

Responsibilities:

• Supervise temporary works (excavation, shoring, ERSS, traffic diversions, heavy lifting) and construction activities (pipe laying, cable pulling/jointing, joint bays, testing & commissioning).
• Monitor safety, health, and environmental compliance maintain risk registers, hazard logs, and site checklists.
• Conduct daily Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and ensure Method Statements (MOS), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), and Risk Assessments (RA) are followed.
• Verify worker qualifications, safety passes, WAH passes, and equipment certifications.
• Approve excavation works beyond 1m, ensuring compliance with design and shoring requirements.
• Oversee CCTV and Body Worn Camera usage to ensure proper monitoring and recording of site activities.
• Report safety lapses, non-compliance, incidents, or near-misses immediately and submit formal reports within 24 hours.
• Ensure mobilisation/demobilisation of vehicles, machinery, and equipment is properly managed.

Requirement:

• Accredited by JAC of IES/ACES and familiar with the Building Control Act, Regulations, and relevant Authority requirements.
• Full-time on-site presence required.
