Resident Technical Officer

Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect siteworks to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and statutory requirements, ensuring project integrity and regulatory adherence
• Monitor construction progress, quality, workmanship, and site safety to maintain project standards and minimize risks
• Inspect materials and witness site inspections and testing to verify compliance with quality standards and specifications
• Review shop drawings, as-built drawings, and related project documents to confirm accuracy and alignment with project requirements
• Maintain accurate site records and progress reports to provide transparent and up-to-date project documentation
• Coordinate effectively with the Resident Engineer, contractors, consultants, and authorities to facilitate smooth project execution and communication
• Monitor defects, oversee rectification works, and manage project handover to ensure completion meets quality and contractual standards
• Perform duties of a Resident Technical Officer in accordance with the Building Control Act and relevant regulations to uphold legal and safety standards

Required competencies and certifications

• Registered Resident Technical Officer with IES/ACES
• Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent

• 6-day work week
• Working hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 5.00pm
