Job Description

  • Supervise and monitor site activities to ensure works are executed in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and compliance.

  • Perform all duties and responsibilities of a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) in accordance with the requirements stipulated by BCA.

  • Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with contract specifications, approved drawings, method statements, work schedules, and site instructions.

  • Review construction drawings and specifications, identify discrepancies, and promptly report to the Officer-in-Charge (OIC) for necessary action.

  • Inspect materials delivered to site and workmanship to ensure compliance with approved specifications and quality standards initiate and follow up on corrective actions for any non-conformance.

  • Monitor and verify that all structural and critical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and relevant codes of practice.

  • Assist the Resident Engineer (RE) and Qualified Person (QP) in ensuring works meet regulatory and project requirements.

  • Attend and actively participate in site meetings, including progress, coordination, variation, and QA/QC meetings, and maintain accurate records and reports.

  • Maintain proper site documentation, including daily site records, inspection reports, and non-conformance reports.

  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and health regulations at all times.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent qualification.

  • Registered with IES as a Resident Technical Officer (C&S) with a valid practicing certificate.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in site supervision, preferably with projects under LTA, HDB, DSTA, or CAG.

  • Good knowledge of local construction practices, codes, and authority requirements.

  • Strong coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Willing to work on shift schedules, including night shifts and rotational Sunday duties.
