Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate civil and structural (C&S) works for a substation project at Jurong Island, ensuring compliance, quality, and safety throughout a 2-year full-time assignment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate C&S construction activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, specifications, regulatory requirements, and safety standards
- Monitor contractors work progress and promptly identify and resolve site issues to maintain project timelines and quality
- Provide technical guidance to project teams and stakeholders to support effective decision-making and problem resolution
- Review and verify shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions to ensure compliance and constructability
- Prepare detailed site reports and support inspections, testing, and audits to maintain project documentation and quality assurance
Required competencies and certifications
- Registered with IES as a Civil & Structural Resident Technical Officer (RTO)
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related construction discipline meeting IES/ACES RTO registration criteria
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Safety-related certifications such as BCSS or equivalent are advantageous
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in C&S RTO roles for building or infrastructure projects, preferably in substation or industrial developments
- Effective communication skills and proactive collaboration with consultants, contractors, and authorities in a team environment
