RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER

Roles & Responsibilities

• Interpret project specifications and construction drawings to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.
• Monitor site operations to verify adherence to approved method statements and work procedures.
• Ensure contractor execution aligns with consultant's instructions.
• Review drawings for discrepancies, report issues to the consultant ,and recommend practical solutions to prevent delays.
• Conduct inspections to confirm quality of workmanship and materials meet project standards.
• Maintain thorough documentation, including site inspections, safety records, and approved/as-built drawings.. Keep detailed and up-to-date records of site progress , conditions, and housekeeping prepare regular progress reports.
• Review and validate contractor progress claims for completed work and delivered/stored materials or equipment.
• Witness all contractor-led inspections, testing, and commissioning to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 3 years of relevant experience
• Possess a valid Resident Technical Officer (RTO)Certificate accredited by IES or ACES.
• Strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
