Resident Technical Officer (Architectural)

Job summary:

• Permanent role

• Basic Up to $6,500

• 5.5 days (Alternate Full Saturday)

• Working location at West

Job scope:

• Oversee on-site architectural activities to ensure works carried out align with the intended design, approved specifications, and mandatory regulatory requirements.

• Work closely with C&S and M&E teams to ensure architectural elements are properly coordinated flag any inconsistencies or technical issues to the Resident Architect or Superintending Officer without delay.

• Manage the submission workflow for architectural-related materials, finishes, and samples, ensuring they are prepared and endorsed within the required timeline.

• Review actual site conditions and identify gaps or conflicts between construction drawings and the physical environment prior to starting any work.

• Perform routine checks on ongoing works to verify workmanship quality and compliance with established standards.

• Keep proper records of all site-related matters, including inspection documentation, test results, and project correspondence

Requirements:

• Valid Resident Technical Officer (RTO) accreditation with IES (Institution of Engineers Singapore).

• Solid understanding of how architectural components are put together, along with practical knowledge of materials, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards related to safety and local authorities.

• Able to manage and work with various technical documents, including construction submissions, revised drawings, project records, inspection-related paperwork, and implementation procedures.

• Effective in conveying information, coordinating with different parties on-site or off-site, and preparing concise updates or documentation when needed.
