General Hospital Practitioner (GHP) – Digestive Health

You will care for diverse patient populations with gastrointestinal conditions, support the expansion of our digestive health services, contribute to the training of junior doctors in gastroenterology care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives that shape how digestive healthcare is delivered for generations to come.

Key Clinical Responsibilities

• Demonstrate active clinical competency within digestive health care, maintaining continuous clinical practice standards based on your experience from the past three years in relevant medical settings

• Deliver high-quality patient care for gastrointestinal conditions whilst adapting effectively to rapidly changing clinical situations in our fast-paced digestive health clinic environment

• Apply sound clinical judgement and comprehensive patient management skills for digestive health cases, drawing upon your minimum three years experience as a Medical Officer in relevant clinical settings

• Utilise advanced clinical expertise to manage complex digestive health patient scenarios under specialist supervision

• Maintain excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams regarding digestive health conditions, demonstrating strong command of both spoken and written English

• Ensure all clinical practice aligns with Singapore Medical Council standards whilst maintaining current registration or meeting registration criteria for digestive health care delivery

• Demonstrate clinical excellence whilst working effectively in dynamic digestive health clinic environments, showing strong adaptability to evolving gastroenterology protocols and emergency gastrointestinal situations

Mandatory Requirements

• Possess minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Officer in relevant clinical settings, demonstrating proven clinical competency and patient management skills
• Be eligible to register with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and meeting all criteria for medical qualifications (both local and foreign trained candidates must satisfy SMC registration requirements)
• Maintain a valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certificate demonstrating competency in emergency resuscitation procedures
