Resident Engineer - Storage Systems

Responsibilities:

- Manage and administer Hitachi storage systems, including midrange and enterprise storage (AMS, HUS, VSP & Gx00)

- Implement and manage storage replication, snapshot, shadow image, and remote replication (sync and async)

- Configure and manage Hitachi Global Active Device

- Utilize Hitachi tools such as HCS, HTnM, HDLM, etc.

- Manage Brocade switch and fabric configurations (zoning, ISL, trunking, fabric merging, etc.)

- Collaborate with teams on VMware, OS (AIX/Windows/Linux) storage integration

- Perform storage performance tuning and troubleshooting

- Participate in incident and change management processes

- Lead projects from sizing to roll-out, leveraging project management skills

- Apply analytical skills for systematic execution and planning

Requirements:

- Strong knowledge of Hitachi storage architecture and products

- Experience with storage replication and high availability solutions

- Familiarity with Brocade SAN switches

- Basic scripting skills

- Good understanding of VMware and OS storage integration

- Strong analytical, planning, and execution skills

- Experience in project handling and management

- Initiative-driven with systematic approach
