Provide on-site supervision for civil and building structural construction according to project specifications, drawings, and Building Control Act to & ensure compliance with health and work safety in accordance with MOM regulation
Manage and oversee a team of site staff or resident technical officers in supervising various aspects of the project, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, landscaping, and related works
Assist in approving valid overtime requisitions and supervising temporary works and recommending modifications, if necessary, as needed
Support all aspects of the project, including record-keeping, monitoring schedules, ensuring safety compliance, and attending project-related meetings
Monitor the condition of existing structures during excavation and construction, taking prompt action to maintain stability
Provide directions to the Main Contractor for testing or investigation work and prepare defect lists if necessary
Regularly report to the Engineer/Architect and Owner's Project Manager on all relevant matters
Check window brackets, material specifications, and supervise specialist items such as balustrades and structural steel works
Endorse application forms to the Building and Construction Authority (BCA) in accordance with approved plans from the Contractor's Qualified Person (Q.P.)
Execute supervision for Emergency Response and Support System (ERSS) works and act as the assigned Professional Engineer (PE) for specific works.
Requirements
Possess relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree from a recognized University and is a registered Resident Engineer with IES
Minimum 2 to 8 years of Resident Engineer experience in supervision of residential/commercial development with strong knowledge of bored piling, precast structures, structural steel and local construction practices
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel
Good supervisory and leadership skills
Possess effective communication skills and able to interact with people at all levels.
