Job Description:
- Ensure construction activities align with approved architectural drawings, specifications, and all relevant regulatory codes (e.g., BCA, URA, SCDF, NEA).
- Review shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements for architectural works.
- Monitor adherence to statutory requirements and liaise with authorities or the Qualified Person (QP) for necessary inspections and clarifications.
- Conduct routine site inspections to assess workmanship, material quality, and overall progress.
- Prepare site observation and non-conformance reports as necessary.
- Witness and verify architectural mock-ups, finishes, and material installation to ensure they meet project standards.
- Coordinate with Resident Engineers (RE), contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve architectural issues on site.
- Attend site coordination meetings and provide architectural input.
- Ensure seamless integration of architectural works with other trades, including MEP, structural, and interior design works.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of architectural inspections, reports, drawings, and correspondence.
- Issue site instructions or memos on behalf of the Architectural Consultant or QP when authorised.
- Assist in the preparation of project reports for client and consultant reviews.
- Participate in inspections for Temporary Occupation Permit (TOP) / Certificate of Statutory Completion (CSC) and final completion.
- Identify architectural defects and follow up to ensure timely and satisfactory rectification.
- Support and promote site safety practices in relation to architectural works in collaboration with the Safety team.
- Ensure all architectural installations meet workplace safety and regulatory requirements.
