Job Description

The incumbent shall be responsible for developing and implementing analytical methodologies, conducting complex chemical analyses, and ensuring the quality and compliance of products across international markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing laboratory operations, and supporting research and development initiatives.

The role shall work closely with key senior personnel and management in understanding the needs of the company and meeting timelines in producing desired research results. The main duties of the incumbent can be summarized as follows:

Responsibilities

  • Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for the identification, quantification, and characterization of chemical compounds.
  • Ensure methods are robust, reproducible, and comply with global regulatory standards
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative chemical analyses using advanced analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, and ICP-MS.
  • Interpret and document analytical data, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of any out of specification (OSS) or out of trend result.
  • Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the integrity of analytical results.
  • Coordinate daily scheduling, routine calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments.
  • Ensure all analytical activities comply with international regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical reports, standard operating procedures and assist with regulatory submissions.
  • Lead and manage analytical projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of results.
  • Working with cross-functional teams, including R&I, production, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs on alignment of analytical testing methods with production and external labs.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the analytical laboratory, including staff supervision, resource allocation, and budget management.
  • Ensure laboratory safety and compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to laboratory personnel and other stakeholders
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in analytical chemistry and implement best practices.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all analytical activities.
  • Prepare and present analytical reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Other ad-hoc assignments by reporting
  • Experience in managing and conducting research work independently.
  • Proper and accurate record keeping of all tests and experiments performed and ensuring timely reporting.
  • Able to organize work in a systematic manner, responsible attitude, honesty in the implementation of assigned tasks, reliable and committed in undertaking assigned tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work while multitasking.
  • Able to work under time pressure, changing tasks, assigned responsibilities.
