Job Description

Applicants are invited to apply for the position to conduct development in computer vision system with artificial intelligence (AI) for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). We invite a motivated and creative engineer/researcher with the relevant qualifications and experience to join us as a Research Scientist.

A successful candidate is required to be engaged in the development activities contributing to a vision-aided obstacle avoidance project, and participate in field deployment and operation. In the software development, the candidate will work on vision system for UAVs as well as develop and implement the vision algorithms proposed by senior members in the group. In addition, coding in C/++ is also required for UAV control logics.

Qualifications

  • PhD Degree in computer science, computer vision, computer engineering or related field.
  • Good knowledge of object oriented programming language, and preferably strong experience in C/C++ , Python and MATLAB.
  • Good knowledge of computer vision and image processing and AI.
  • Good knowledge of OpenCV libraries.
  • Experience in UAV/Robotic simulation and embedded system.
  • Knowledge of ROS / ROS2 programming is preferred.
