Research Scientist (AI for Health), A*STAR BII

Key Responsibilities:

• Methodology Development: Design and develop advanced generative AI models, specifically leveraging Transformer and Diffusion-based architectures, tailored for healthcare applications.
• Analytical Frameworks: Develop and apply rigorous analytical tools to evaluate model performance, safety, and utility within a healthcare context.
• Clinical Collaboration: Partner with stakeholders across Singapore health systems to translate theoretical models into functional tools for clinical settings.

Requirements:

• PhD in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related quantitative field with a focus on Machine Learning/AI.
• Experience with working with different data types from healthcare settings (text, imaging, video data) is a plus.
• Expertise with Python and deep learning frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Demonstrated experience in implementing and fine-tuning Generative AI models.
• Strong understanding of high-dimensional healthcare data types (Electronic Health Records, medical imaging, or clinical video).
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders from different technical backgrounds.
• Strong team player who can work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
