We are currently seeking a Research Officer to contribute to the development of cutting-edge optical spectroscopy device platform with innovative AI-analytics for skin health/Medtech applications and its clinical translation.
Job scope/responsibilities:
- Interface and integrate embedded systems, sensors, and hardware components with optical systems for experimental and prototype platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain LabVIEW-based software for instrument control, data acquisition and GUI development.
- Development of optical hardware and systems for spectroscopy & imaging
- Develop AI models for data analytics
- Testing of developed spectroscopy system in phantoms
- Take part in clinical study in hospitals (data collection and analysis) for the translation of the developed systems
- Present study concepts, experimental results, new findings to the management team and the research team members
Job requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Biomedical Engineering, Optical Engineering or in related field with minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience
- Proven experience with LabVIEW programming, hardware interfacing (DAQs, microcontrollers) and GUI development.
- Hands-on experience with embedded systems, electronic design/debugging, and optical system integration.
- Familiar with AI models and experience on AI algorithm development for image analysis
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python Solid works, Zemax, and ANSYS is highly beneficial
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Meticulous and highly organized
- Industry working experience is advantageous
