We are inviting applications for a highly motivated Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow who will be focused on performing experiments and running independent projects in the laboratory, with a focus on cancer biology and diabetes. This position will integrate mouse models and mechanistic studies aimed at fundamental understanding of disease mechanisms and finding translation solutions to tackle them. The role also includes mentoring students and contributing to grant applications and scientific publications.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct hypothesis-driven experiments independently and analyze experimental data at a high standard
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary team members to enhance research productivity and innovation.
Maintain high level of expertise through familiarity with scientific literature.
Give regular research updates in the form of internal group meetings
Train and mentor graduate and undergraduate students
Support PI in grant writing and manuscript preparation
Support the general organization and operations of the lab
Job Requirements
PhD in Biology or related fields
Strong expertise in mouse models and genetics (essential)
Demonstrated experience in:
Mammalian Cell Biology (culturing of cells, transfection, etc.)
Biochemistry (SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting)
Immunohistochemistry (sectioning and staining)
Fluorescence light microscopy (immunofluorescence, confocal microscopy, etc.)
Omics assays and bioinformatics analyses
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently within a collaborative research environment
Team-work attitude
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Resourceful, proactive, and self-motivated
