Job Description

The National University of Singapore invites applications for the position of Research Fellow in the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing (SoC). SoC is strongly committed to research excellence in all its dimensions: Searching for fundamental results and insights, developing novel computational solutions to a wide range of applications, building large-scale experimental systems and improving the well-being of society. We seek to play an active role both internationally and locally in the core and emerging areas of Computer Science and Information Systems.

The Research Fellow will be responsible for working closely with the Principal Investigator on one or more research projects about video intelligence:

• Prepare for and meet the project deliveries and milestones.
• Conduct research on video intelligence including model design, implementation, evaluation, system development
• Develop innovative models for video intelligence (e.g., multimodal understanding, embodied AI)
• Lead manuscript writing for submission to premier venues (CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, NeurIPS, ICLR).
• Convert research prototypes into scalable, deployable software systems or proof-of-concept demos.
• Design, code, and optimize robust deep learning pipelines
• Project reports writing and presentation.

Job Requirements

• A PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related fields.
• Research experiences on computer vision
• Strong programming skills in using Deep Learning tools like PyTorch and GPU clusters.
• Good written and verbal communications.
