The candidate is expected to conduct research on topics at the interface of quantum information and machine-learning. The overall aim has been to improve the current state-of-the-art techniques of understanding how quantum information processing can enhance our ability to understand and process information.
Key Responsibilities:
Publish papers in areas related to quantum information and machine learning
Aid in supervision of FYP and PhD students on topics of quantum information and machine learning
Keys areas of research include:
Quantum Channels
Distributed Quantum Computation
Black-box Quantum Computation
Quantum Correlations and Resources
Quantum Benchmarking
Job Requirements:
PhD in theoretical quantum information or related field.
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to communicate technique ideas to interdisciplinary scientific audiences.
Previous experience in quantum communication channels (not compulsory but good to have)
Previous experience in quantum resource theories (e.g., coherence) (not compulsory but good to have)
Previous experience in quantum machine learning. (not compulsory but good to have)
Previous experience in quantum programming (not compulsory but good to have)
