We seek a Research Fellow specializing in catalysis, with a particular focus on sub-nm alloyed clusters, to elucidate structure-property relationships in heterogeneous and electrocatalysts.
The role involves designing, synthesizing, and evaluating catalytic systems under realistic reaction conditions, with emphasis on understanding how the composition, atomic arrangement, and electronic structure of sub-nm alloyed clusters govern catalytic performance. The fellow will track active-site behavior, reaction pathways, and deactivation mechanisms in close collaboration with synthesis and characterization teams. The fellow will lead data-driven interpretation linking cluster structure and surface chemistry to activity, selectivity, and stability, contribute to publications and grant deliverables, and help develop new catalysis workflows for the rational design of sub-nm alloyed cluster catalysts.
. PhD in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a closely related field within 2 years post-PhD at the time of appointment.
. Demonstrated strong track record in catalysis research, particularly in heterogeneous or electrocatalysis, evidenced by high-quality publications.
. Proven research experience in the design, synthesis, and evaluation of catalytic materials, with particular emphasis on nanoalloy catalysts and their structure-property-performance relationships.
. Strong understanding of reaction mechanisms, active-site behavior, and catalyst deactivation pathways under realistic operating conditions.
. Highly self-motivated and independent, with a strong sense of ownership and ability to drive projects from concept to publication.
. Demonstrated ability to produce high-quality scientific publications in leading peer-reviewed journals.
