Job Description
Our cells are continually being subject to mechanical changes in their microenvironment. Solid tumours undergo rapid remodelling, leading to changes in the biophysical tumour microenvironment. By learning how these changes affect immune cells, cancer-associated fibroblasts and cancer cells, we can develop strategies for mechanical activation or inhibition to grow the field of mechanoceuticals - the application of mechanobiology to identify therapeutically actionable drivers of cancer growth and metastasis.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting experiments, writing manuscripts
PhD in material sciences, biomedical engineering, cancer and immunology.
The candidate should have experience in hydrogel synthesis, in vitro tumour models and animal work.
