We have a job opening for a Research Fellow position at the Bio-inspired Robotics and Design Laboratory
() at SUTD.
The roles:
The Research Fellow will support fundamental and applied research in dexterous manipulation and graspingby developing novel data based modeling tools for soft and hybrid mechanisms, actuation, and sensing technologies for next-generation grasping and manipulation in both harsh and delicate environments. Simulations will be used to optimize dynamics behavior of metamaterial-based grasping mechanisms.
We are looking for researchers with a passion for design and innovation and keen to work with a multi-disciplinary
team.
Responsibilities:
. Modeling and Simulation for a variety of industrial grasping applications. Machine learning and reinforcement learning for manipulation and grasping
Key requirements:
. Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or related fields. Experience with simulation tools such as FLUENT, ICEM CFD, ABAQUS
. Experience with SolidWorks & ANSYS
. Proficiency in Programming languages: Python, MATLAB, pytorch, C++
