The Decarbonisation Programme Singapore Max-Planck Alliance for the Sustainable Conversion of Biomass is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Development of automated self-optimizing small-scale flow processes.
The primary objectives are generation and optimization of automated flow protocols for the chemical conversion of biomass.
Key Responsibilities:
Construction of a flexible flow platform to perform small-scale conversions
Implementation of its automation and closed-loop optimization
Maintenance of lab or equipment or supplies that include procurement and liaison with suppliers
Assist or produce high quality reports and documents that consolidate research findings
Contribute to the mentoring and guidance of junior researchers and students, fostering an environment of learning and innovation within the project team.
Job Requirements:
Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field
Experience in python is required
Experience in flow chemistry
Experience in reactor design is beneficial
Experience in process control and PAT
Knowledge and interest in closed-loop optimization
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics is beneficial
Experience with laboratory automation and flow platforms
Capable of conducting independent research while effectively collaborating in a multidisciplinary environment.
