Job Description

Young and research-intensive, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU Singapore) is ranked among the world's top universities. We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to conduct research in formal verification, machine learning and artificial intelligence system assurance. The successful candidate will develop new techniques and tools for analysing, verifying and improving the correctness, robustness and reliability of deep neural networks and AI-enabled software systems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research in adversarial machine learning, AI security and the robustness of deep learning and multimodal AI systems.

  • Develop novel attack, detection and defence techniques for adversarial examples, model vulnerabilities and jailbreak attempts.

  • Design and implement research prototypes, and evaluate them using benchmark datasets, machine learning models and real-world AI applications.

  • Publish research findings in reputable conferences and journals, prepare project deliverables, and collaborate with the Principal Investigator and research team.

Job Requirements:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related discipline.

  • Strong research background in formal verification, neural network verification, software testing or machine learning robustness.

  • Proven research track record with publications in reputable conferences or journals.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with good analytical, communication and mentoring skills.
