Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Asst. Prof. QIU Yunyan on synthesizing novel biomass-derived graphitic carbon precursors under a project on Synthesis and low-temperature stabilization of biomass-derived graphitic carbon precursors.

The main responsibilities of the position include:
- Developing methods to systhesize graphitic carbon precursors from sugar or biomass
- Explore their low-temperature stabilization process for carbon fiber reinforced carbon matrix composites

Qualifications / Discipline: PhD in Chemistry or Materials Science and Engineering

Skills: Carbon materials / 3D printing

Experience: Organic synthesis / Carbon materials characterizations / Additive manufacturing
